COREtec Transition Molding, also known as T-Molding, is designed to connect two floors of equal height for a seamless look. Ideal for transitioning between COREtec LVP flooring to carpet, hardwood, vinyl or tile flooring. 

T-moldings provide a clean, level transition between different flooring surfaces or between rooms.  They protect your floor edges from damage and leave your flooring with a professional finished look.

Transition Molding comes in coordinating colors and styles to match your COREtec luxury vinyl flooring, leaving your room with a beautiful, professionally finished look.

What is a T-Molding (Transition Molding)?

T-Molding, also known as transition molding, is shaped like the letter "T". It is used to create a level and smooth transition between two floors of equal height, such as between luxury vinyl plank and tile, or vinyl to hardwood floors. T-molding is perfect for open floor plans where one type of flooring meets another without height difference.

How do I know which COREtec transition piece I need?

  • Use a T-molding/Transition Molding when both floors are the same height.
  • A baby threshold will butt the two flooring surfaces together providing a nice finished edge.
  • Use a reducer if the carpet or other flooring surface is lower than the LVP.
